President Barzani stresses the deepening of friendly relations and cooperation between the Kurdistan Region and Jordan in various fields

ARK News… President Masoud Barzani, on Monday, May 6, 2024, received a delegation from Jordanian higher education and universities that included Dr. Mamoun al-Dab’i, Jordanian Deputy Minister of Higher Education, the presidents of 9 Jordanian universities, and the Jordanian Consul General in Erbil, Fouad al-Majali.

The guest delegation highly valued President Barzani's role in the political process in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq and deepening the culture of coexistence and prosperity in the Kurdistan Region. In addition to their emphasis on the friendship and historical relations between the people of Jordan and the people of Kurdistan, they expressed their readiness to develop academic relations, coordination and cooperation between the universities of Jordan and the Kurdistan Region.

During the meeting, President Barzani referred to the historical relations that bind the peoples of Kurdistan and the Kingdom of Jordan, thanking King Abdullah and the government and people of Jordan for their sympathy and assistance to the people of Kurdistan at various stages, emphasizing the deepening of friendly relations between the two sides in various fields.
