ARK News… A young Kurdish man from Kobani city in Syrian Kurdistan lost his memory as a result of being subjected to severe torture at the hands of members of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces militia and Syrian regime intelligence.

The BassNews website said: “The Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces militia arrested the 18-year-old Kurdish young man, Ismail Khalil Ali, from the village of Ain al-Bat in the countryside of the city of Kobani in Syrian Kurdistan while he was heading to Iraq 4 months ago for the purpose of work. He was handed over to the regime’s intelligence after being subjected to torture, and severe attacks by the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces militias.

According to the media source, the Syrian regime threw the young Kurdish man into the notorious Palestine Branch of the regime’s military intelligence in Damascus and was subjected to severe torture.


The source revealed that traces of brutal torture are visible on the body of the young Kurdish man who was released a few days ago. He has lost his memory and does not know anything about himself. He is now residing with his family in Raqqa in a deplorable condition, and is in need of special treatment and care.
