Nechirvan Barzani: The federal government must carry out its duties to prevent the targeting of vital facilities in Kurdistan
ARK News… The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, condemned the targeting of the Kurmor gas field in Chamchamal district on Friday, stressing the need for the federal government to carry out its duties to prevent attacks on vital installations in Kurdistan.
Barzani said in a statement on Friday: “I strongly condemn the attack on the Kurmor gas field in Chamchamal in Sulaymaniyah Governorate, which unfortunately led to martyrs and injuries and a reduction in production at the station.”
Barzani offered his condolences to “the families of the martyrs” and wished “a speedy recovery to the wounded.”
He added, "We stress that these attacks endanger the peace and stability of the country," stressing, "The relevant authorities in the federal government must carry out their duties to prevent the recurrence of these attacks, find the perpetrators, and punish them legally."
