ARK News… The pro-Iranian militias targeted, with several missiles, the American Kharab al-Jir base, south of Rmelan, in Syrian Kurdistan.

Local sources reported that explosions occurred on Sunday evening, at the Kharab al-Jir base, amid an attempt by ground defenses to confront the missiles.

Two Iraqi security sources told Reuters that at least five missiles were fired from the Zumar district, southwest of the city of Mosul, towards an “American military base in northeastern Syria on Sunday.”

Reuters quoted an American official as saying that “an international coalition fighter destroyed a launcher in a self-defense measure after reports of a failed missile attack near a Coalition base in Syria,” stressing that no American soldier was injured as a result of the attack.

The attack is the first since early February, when pro-Iranian militias in Iraq halted their attacks on US forces.
