On the occasion of Kurdish Press Day, the anniversary of the publication of the first issue of the newspaper (Kurdistan) by Prince Miqdad Medhat Badirkhan, and the anniversary of the founding of the Kurdistan Journalists Syndicate, I extend my warmest congratulations and blessings to all Kurdistan journalists, wishing them continued success in their professional careers.

On this occasion, we are pleased to express our pride in the complete freedom enjoyed by Kurdistan’s media professionals, under the regional government, in carrying out their message without censorship and restrictions, as they enjoy absolute freedom to criticize and diagnose any transgression, shortcomings, or negligence in government performance. Side by side, the government will remain a permanent support and assistance to journalists and media workers, enabling us to advance Kurdistan to broader horizons of progress in all fields.

As we celebrate Kurdish Press Day, we hope that communicating the truth with all honesty, contributing to the renaissance of Kurdistan and serving its citizens, defending the rights of the people of Kurdistan, and preserving and strengthening the constitutional entity of the Kurdistan Region will remain at the forefront of the goals and noble goals of Kurdistan journalists.

While we praise the role of Kurdistan media professionals, we stress the need for them to be a mirror of the nation and its face, and to devote their efforts to protecting the national values and the highest interests of the people of Kurdistan, while avoiding the use of offensive language, and staying away from defamation in the name of the profession.

Congratulations on Kurdish Press Day, and I take this occasion to renew my full support and assistance, and the support of the Kurdistan Regional Government for freedom of expression and true journalism in the Kurdistan Region.
