Netherlands Temporarily Closes Consulate in Erbil
ARK News… Due to tensions between Iran and Israel, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today, Saturday (April 13, 2024), the temporary closure of the Netherlands consulate in Erbil starting tomorrow, Sunday.
The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in an official statement that the Netherlands will temporarily close its embassy in Iran and consulate in Erbil due to the tensions between Iran and Israel.
The statement confirmed that the Dutch embassy and consulate have canceled all visa and travel appointments to the Netherlands in Tehran and Erbil.
The statement also mentioned that a new schedule for appointments will be determined, but a decision will be made tomorrow, Sunday, whether the closure will continue until Monday (April 15, 2024), in order to ensure the safety of embassy and consulate staff.
