Masrour Barzani Extends Eid al-Fitr Congratulations: Hopes Final Steps with Baghdad Mark Beginning of Resolving All Lingering Issues

ARK News… The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, Masrour Barzani, issued congratulations on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, expressing gratitude to the citizens of the region for their patience and resilience in overcoming difficult economic circumstances. He called for addressing all outstanding issues with the federal government through understanding and adherence to the constitution.

Below is the text of the Eid congratulations:

"On the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, we extend our warmest congratulations and best wishes to all Muslims in Kurdistan, Iraq, and around the world. We specifically mention the courageous Peshmerga forces, the internal security forces, and the honorable families of martyrs and veterans, wishing that this Eid brings joy, happiness, and prosperity to the people of Kurdistan, heralding the end of all wars and tragedies everywhere.

On this blessed occasion, we are pleased to express our immense gratitude to all nationalists from the sons of Kurdistan, for standing steadfastly by us, after they immersed us with their support and assistance in overcoming the difficult economic situation we have been through.

We also hope that the agreement and understanding reached with relevant authorities in the federal government regarding salaries and financial rights of the Kurdistan Region will endure, and will put an end to any confusion between the issue of salaries, being a legitimate and constitutional right of citizens, and any political problems or disputes, to ensure that employees and beneficiaries receive their salaries regularly on a monthly basis through the relevant authorities in the regional government.

While emphasizing the importance of these steps and progress made, we hope that this will mark the beginning of resolving other lingering issues and all remaining contentious issues through understanding and adherence to the constitution.
