Returning of some Al-Sharqiya’s militias to Afrin
ARK News: After clashes which lasted for hours between the armed factions in Afrin and Shuhadaa Al-Sharqiya militias in 18/11/2018 which left many dead and wounded between the two parties and the announcement of the reach of an agreement which leading to the taking out of Al-Sharqiya militias from Afrin to Jenderes town to be deported to Idlib later, some of Al-Sharqiya militants returned to the city center of Afrin
According to an informed source on the tongue of witnesses from the neighborhood of villas (West Motorway) from the Kurdish Afrin city on Wednesday 28/11/2018 to the foundation of ARK Media Foundation that some of the militias of Shuhadaa Al-Sharqiya returned to Afrin and specifically to the houses that they had seized in the city.
The source pointed out that some of the headquarters that were controlled in the center of the city became under the control of other factions, stressing that they became less power and control after the Turkish operation.
Azad Othman, a member of the Local Council in Afrin said in an earlier report to ARK that the Al-Sharqiya militias were taken out to the Jenderes town to be deported to Idlib later.
For its part, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights confirmed that most of the militias of the Shuhadaa Al-Sharqiya returned to Afrin with a Turkish guarantee, after the operation which left 32 dead from other factions and 14 dead from Shuhadaa Al-Sharqiya militias.
A Kurdish activist from Afrin, on 20 November 2018, who preferred not to be named , revealed the reasons for the fighting saying: "The reasons that led to the outbreak of clashes between Shuhadaa Al-Sharqiya militias and other factions are that the eastern did not comply with Turkey's orders to move to other areas to participate in wars may be fought by Turkey against other Kurdish areas".
The same activist noted that "The majority of the militias settled in Afrin with their families, which prevents them from moving to other areas and to engage in new wars, after their stability in the region and adapt to the environment of Afrin and its picturesque nature, especially after they have wreaked havoc in the region and carried out robberies in villages and neighborhoods of the city and seized agricultural crops including the olive crop.”
The armed forces of the National Army announced the operation in the city center of Afrin on 18 November to eliminate the factions that have committed violations against civilians and that have caused corruption in the region and the names of militias of Shuhadaa Al-Sharqiya and A-Hamzat and Sultan Murad were within the target factions.
