Mustafa Juma: Building a national army in the eastern Euphrates is displeasing and surprising
ARK News: A member of the Political Bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria said that talking about a national army in the eastern Euphrates, is displeasing and surprising at the same time, because that orientation ends Kurdish privacy does not recognize to the Kurdish national presence and the rights of our people and the current conditions are not conducive to the construction of such an army without understanding with the Kurdish side.
In a statement to the ARK Media Foundation Mustafa Juma, a member of the Political Bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria yesterday 26/11/2018 stated that there is no doubt to build a national army for all Syria which aims to end the tools and pillars of the authoritarian regime in Damascus, a matter is welcomed by all components of the Syrian people, because what this people have suffered under the rule of the Baath Party the authoritarian, the ruin and destruction of the physical structure of Syria, economic and community, calls for the construction of an army and national institutions in accordance with a new and modern constitution that takes into account the rights of all components, but to talk about a special national army in east of the Euphrates, is displeasing and surprising at the same time, because this approach ends Kurdish privacy and does not recognize the Kurdish national presence, and the rights of our people.
A member of the Political Bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Kurdistan – Syria demonstrated regarding what has been reported in some media that (there are current talks between Turkey and the Free Army on the one hand, and the Americans on the other, with the aim of dismantling the militants of the Democratic Unionist Party (PYD) and the restructuring of a national army of all nationalities and sects of the Syrian people in the area of Al-Jazeera and the Euphrates) ) as one of the motives of the Turkish political orientation, and its desire to limit the Kurdish ambition as a whole, and it is not only ending the role of the Democratic Union Party, as it claims.
Juma added that the current conditions are not conducive to building such an army without the understanding with the Kurdish side, while efforts to push the political process and form a committee to rewrite a new constitution for the future Syria are in its place.
Juma pointed to the continued attempts by the side of Turkey to reach an understanding with America on the fate of East Euphrates, and the floating of the region to obliterate the Kurdish privacy, indicating that Turkey is working on the line of concessions to America and Russia for that, on the one hand, and the cloning of tribes on the Kurdish presence towards the formation of local councils and give priority to the non-Kurdish component, on the other hand
In order to ward off the dangers towards Kurdistan, a member of the Political Bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria, Mustafa Juma assured on the need to arrange the Kurdish internal situation, and ending the PYD's monopoly on power, and the exercise of the Kurdish National Council of its expected role quickly with the parties involved in the situation, and thus bringing out arguments and pretexts from the hands of Turkey, and intersect this endeavor with the American trends as well.
