Israel targets a truck belonging to the Hezbollah militia in the Homs countryside
ARK News… An Israeli raid, on Sunday, February 25, targeted a cargo vehicle belonging to the Hezbollah militia in the Qusayr area in the Homs countryside on the Syrian-Lebanese border, amid information that two people were killed.
Activists on social media circulated a picture showing the burning of a cargo vehicle belonging to the Lebanese Iranian Party militia, and it is likely that the raid targeted a vehicle carrying a shipment of weapons on its way to the Iranian militias in regime-controlled areas.
At the beginning of this year, the Jisoor Center for Studies issued a report confirming that the year 2023 witnessed an increase in the number of Israeli raids in Syria, as 40 raids were recorded compared to 28 raids in 2022 and the same in 2021.
The report stated that Israel increased the frequency of its raids in Syria after the outbreak of the war in the Gaza Strip, as it increased from 6 to 11 raids compared to the same time period between 2022 and 2023, in conjunction with Iran increasing the number of its military sites, which reached 570 points and bases, most of which are in the south of the country.
