France welcomes a report proving ISIS's responsibility for the Marea chemical attack in 2015

ARK News… France welcomed the decision of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons proving the responsibility of ISIS for the Mare’ chemical attack, which occurred in 2015.

Commenting on the report of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, Brigitte Corme, the French envoy to Syria, said in a blog post on the (X) platform: “France welcomes the publication of the fourth report of the investigation and identification team of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.”

“This new report, the result of independent, impartial and rigorous work, establishes for the first time ISIS responsibility for a chemical weapons attack,” she added.

In this context, the British envoy to Syria confirmed that the United Kingdom is committed to holding accountable everyone who uses chemical weapons in Syria.

The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons revealed on Thursday that its investigations concluded that ISIS was responsible for the chemical attack that targeted the city of Mare’ in the Aleppo countryside in 2015.
