Erbil... A delegation from PDK-S, the families of the martyrs, and the people of Afrin thanks the Barzani Charity Foundation
ARK News… A delegation from the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria, the families of the martyrs and the people of Afrin visited the headquarters of the Barzani Charity Foundation in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region.
The delegation was received by Rawaj Haji, member of the administrative body and responsible for the Afrin file at the Barzani Charity Foundation.
The visit came with the aim of offering thanks and gratitude to the Barzani Charity Foundation for its efforts in providing relief and assistance to the cities of Afrin and Jenderes in Syrian Kurdistan.
The Barzani Charity Foundation is the first humanitarian organization that helped the cities of Afrin and Jenderes and their countryside, by arriving in the region after the earthquake of February 6, 2023.
The first "Barzani Charity" convoy arrived on February 10, 2023, consisting of 12 trucks carrying (drinking water, medicines, ready-made meals, clothes and detergents).
Aid was distributed in the Jenderes area and surrounding villages and to families in Afrin, whose homes were destroyed and were forced to remain on the streets.
On February 19, 2023, the Barzani Charitable Foundation officially opened an office in the city center of Afrin, to continue providing humanitarian aid to those affected by the earthquake.
On June 4, 2023, the “Barzani Center for Culture and Development” was opened in Afrin.
