Afrin ... $ 22 million of olive oil imports tax

Ark News: A private source from the Kurdish city of Afrin revealed to the ARK Media Foundation the amount of taxes which imposed on the seven Local Councils of (Rajo-Shiye-Mabata- Jenderes-Bilbile-Shara and Afrin City Center), Which is estimated at 22 million dollars.

The source, who preferred not to be named said that the armed factions have imposed 22 million US dollars on the seven local councils in Afrin and its towns by way of olive oil imports by imposing 10 percent of the share of farmers in favor of the armed factions.

The source pointed to the prices of olive oil containers that each container contains 16 liters according to quality as follows:

$ 29 ----- 1.5-2

$22 ----- 2-4

That is, the high quality from zero to 8 dashes does not exceed 17 thousand Syrian pounds if the US dollar equivalent to 500 Syrian pounds.

The source pointed out that the Kurd's farmers and traders have not benefited from the border crossing (the crossing of the village of Hammam)yet, which opened recently, stressing that the crossing is only used to ship Turkish goods.
