ARK News: More than eight months after the control of the Turkish army and armed factions on Afrin Kurdistan, the printed textbooks were sent to Afrin on Friday, to be distributed to schoolchildren and students.

An informed source reported on Friday, November 23, 2018, to the ARK Media Foundation That the textbooks arrived at the warehouses of Afrin to be distributed to schoolchildren and students, pointing out that the books are for pupils from the first grade to the sixth grade, that is, the primary stage only.

The same source confirmed that it is due to arrive textbooks for preparatory school after another period, pointing out that for the past few months, the pupils were going to school without textbooks, with only notebooks being taken, while the teaching in schools was oral.

As a result of the war that began on January 20, 2018, and ended on 18/3/2018, Turkey and the armed factions controlled the city center and its towns and villages, the displacement of teaching staff, and schools in Afrin area were bombed and the educational process was stopped in the region, in the past few months, Afrin has begun to recover again by opening a large number of schools, but schools lack the school supplies, and in some villages because of the destruction of schools, Local Councils have been forced to build tents to replace schools.
