Kobani... The PYD administration raises the price of bread for the second time in 3 days
ARK News… Coinciding with the deterioration of economic and living conditions, the rise in the price of bread in recent days has become the talk of the street in the cities and towns of Syrian Kurdistan.
Local sources, on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, reported that the PYD administration raised the price of a loaf of bread in the city of Kobani from 750 Syrian pounds to 1,000. The administration had raised the price of a loaf of bread 3 days ago from 500 to 750 Syrian pounds.
The sources added that this administration distributes a bundle of bread in the amount of 1,000 Syrian pounds to those authorized to distribute bread to the areas of Kobani, while those authorized distribute it to citizens from (1,100 to 1,300 Syrian pounds) depending on the distance of the region.
The sources continued, in addition to the high price, the bread that this administration distributes to the people lacks the lowest quality standards.
