Muhammad Ismail to ARK: Two main axes were addressed by the General Secretariat of the Council at its meeting

ARK News… The General Secretariat of the Kurdish National Council in Syria, on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, held a meeting in Qamishlo city in Syrian Kurdistan.

Muhammad Ismail, Secretary of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria, spoke to ARK about the content of the meeting, noting that the meeting dealt with two main axes.

Muhammad Ismail, Secretary of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria, said that the first axis was limited to the latest developments and developments in the region, such as the recent events in Deir Ez-Zour, the normalization of countries with the regime, the positions of neighboring countries, and the accelerating events in the region.

He added that the second axis revolved around organizational matters, such as appointing Dr. Abdul Hakim Bashar as vice-president of the opposition National Coalition, and Dr. Zuhair Muhammad and Abdullah Kado as members of the political body of the coalition.

The attendees also touched on organizational issues related to the council, and a meeting of the council’s presidential body is scheduled to be held next week, according to the party secretary.
