ARK News… The senior adviser to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Akef Chaghatay Qilich, said that there are several reasons hindering the latter's meeting with the head of the Syrian regime, Bashar al-Assad.
He added, in a statement to Turkish media on Friday, that the meetings with the Syrian regime are continuing at different levels, but there are outstanding files that impede access to meetings at the highest level.
He stressed, "his country's stability and clarity regarding these files (referring mainly to the Turkish presence in northern Syria) and that without resolving them, it is not possible to hold a meeting between President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Bashar al-Assad."
