The start of the 20th round of the Astana track on Syria
ARK News... the twentieth round of meetings of the Astana track on the Syrian file, today, Tuesday, June 20, begins and will last for two days. Russia, Turkey, and Iran will participate in the track, with delegations representing the Syrian opposition and the regime.
A statement issued by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, on Monday: "Astana will host the twentieth high-level meeting on Syria, in the Astana format, on June 20 and 21."
The statement added: On this occasion, the second technical meeting will be held between the foreign ministries of the quadruple track between Turkey, Iran, Russia, and Syria in Astana.
Previously, the Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced in a statement that the twentieth round of the Astana track on the Syrian file will be held on June 20 and 21.
The Ministry indicated that the United Nations and the countries of Jordan, Lebanon, and Iraq will participate in the meeting as observers.
The previous round of the Astana track was held on November 22 and 23, 2022.
