Greece establishes a center to inquire about the victims and missing persons from a boat sinking off its coast

ARK News… The Greek Ministry of Immigration and Asylum announced the establishment of a center to inquire about the victims and missing persons as a result of the migrant boat crash off the coast of Greece.

The Ministry has allocated a phone number and an e-mail, through which the families of the victims and those interested can inquire directly from the center.

The Greek Coast Guard said that the search for survivors or victims of the sinking of a fishing boat near one of the Greek islands, which had about 750 migrants on board, is continuing.

The Greek Coast Guard added on its official website that search efforts are taking place southwest of Pylos, with the participation of a frigate, three ships, and a helicopter.

Sirwan Ahmed, the cousin of the survivor of the boat sinking, Raghyan Adel Ahmed, said that more than 30 people from the city of Kobani in Syrian Kurdistan, including women and children, were on board the boat that set off from Tobruk in Libya and sank off the Greek coast.
