The death of a young man by drowning in the Orontes River in rural Idlib

ARK News… A young man, on Friday, June 16, 2023, drowned while swimming in the Orontes River in the western countryside of Idlib.
The Syrian Civil Defense announced that a young man drowned while he was swimming in the Al-Assi countryside in the Ain Al-Zarqa area near Darkosh. The Civil Defense teams took him out of the water, provided him with first aid, and transferred him to Darkosh Hospital immediately, but he did not respond to resuscitation and died.
It added, "We urge our civilian people not to swim in the Euphrates, Orontes, Afrin, Lake Midanky, and water canals in Afrin, as they are unsuitable for swimming and very dangerous."
