On the International Day of the Innocent Children Victims of Aggression, the Syrian Network for Human Rights said in a statement issued on Sunday that 30,034 children have been killed in Syria since March 2011, including 198 due to torture.

The network added that the Syrian regime practiced the worst forms of aggression against children in Syria in light of the internal armed conflict, and it was not deterred from that by Syria's ratification of the 1993 Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Network also said: The rest of the conflict parties have also practiced many forms of aggression against children, but the Syrian regime has outperformed all parties, in terms of the number of crimes it has committed in a stereotyped and systematic manner, which have reached the level of crimes against humanity.

The network revealed that the Syrian regime has killed 22,982, including 12,924 male children and 10,058 female children, since 2011.
