An explosion of a mine planted by the PKK kills a member of the border guards and injures another
ARK News… A landmine exploded at the borders of Bradost in Sidkan town, on Friday, June 2, 202, that killed a border guard and injured another.
"On Friday evening, a landmine exploded with two border guards, causing the death of one of them, injuring the other, and taking him to Ashti Hospital in Soran," the mayor of Sidkan, Ihsan Chalabi, told Kurdistan 24.
He added, "The officer who lost his life is named Rizgar Abdul Karim Muhammad (35 years old), and he is from the Bradost area in Sidkan town, while the other member who was injured is called Saman Fattah (50 years), and he is from the Rawandouz."
He stressed that "the two members went to the side of Mount Qalarash in Sidkan, with the aim of addressing the problem of water shortage in their headquarters, and there the landmine exploded in them."
He added, "The militants of the Kurdistan Workers' Party planted that landmine there," stressing that "it is not the first time that landmines have exploded in that area. Some time ago, other bombs planted with a number of livestock exploded there."
