The Gulan revolution extended for more than 15 years, as the Baath regime began to retreat in the face of the strikes of the Peshmerga forces, during which it committed the worst crimes against our people in Kurdistan, starting with murder and genocide, and passing through the use of internationally prohibited weapons, adopting a scorched earth policy by burning and demolishing all border villages and deporting their residents to The central, southern, and western provinces of Iraq, leading to the most horrific and heinous crimes represented by the notorious Anfal operations, followed by the use of internationally prohibited chemical and bacterial weapons against civilians.
