Video... A suffocating sugar crisis in Manbij
ARK News... The local markets in the cities and towns of Syrian Kurdistan and other Arab cities under the control of the PYD administration are witnessing a severe and noticeable shortage in supplying them with sugar, which has created resentment among citizens.
A number of merchants reported that the PYD administration monopolizes the import of sugar for itself or for fake names and affiliated institutions.
The price of one kilo of sugar reached 8,000 Syrian pounds in the market, with prices varying from one city to another.
Arab activists published a video clip of the city of Manbij, showing long queues for citizens in front of a sales center to obtain the material.
Citizens hold the PYD administration responsible for the occurrence of the sugar crisis and other crises, at a time when they demand that it stop monopolizing and presenting flimsy arguments and pretexts and opening the way for merchants to import sugar and other supplies.
