Kurdistan parties meet with Berivan Aslan, a member of the Vienna Parliament
ARK News... The Kurdish parties on Friday 12.05.2023, met in the Austrian capital, Vienna, with Berivan Aslan, a former member of the Austrian parliament and currently a member of the Vienna capital's parliament.
This came to unify the Kurdish political discourse before the Austrian public opinion and to present proposals and opinions to support the Kurdish community in terms of integration, revitalization of cultural and political activities, and open greater horizons for easy communication between the Kurdish community, the Austrian parliament, and the government.
Berivan welcomed the attendees and expressed her gratitude for the meeting with them. She spoke at length about the current Kurdish situation and the difficulties that impede many benefits, especially that the Kurdish people do not have an independent entity or lobby that gathers its strength and imposes its will, interest, and support for the Kurdish cause in political forums that have lost many opportunities and positions because of their stances towards the occupying regimes. For Kurdistan, and because of the political and diplomatic relations that link these regimes with the Austrian government, which endangered her life, persecuted and threatened her with death, forcing her to live for many years under the protection of Austrian security to protect her.
She promised to work hard to secure good relations between the Kurdish parties and the Austrian political parties through the partisan blocs present in Parliament, focusing on the parliamentary blocs that respect the rights of the Kurdish people, facilitate their communication with the Kurdish community, and hold cultural seminars on all parts of Kurdistan periodically.
Then the representatives of the Kurdish parties made their interventions and proposals that enriched the meeting, and everyone discussed a lot of issues with them, some of which are general and some specific to some members of the community, as everyone assured of continuous communication and meetings.
