In a step contrary to human values and principles, the administration of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) at the Semalka crossing prevented invitees from Kurdish political parties and other frameworks and actors at the opening ceremony of the Barzani National Museum, from crossing into the Kurdistan Region in order to participate in the ceremony.

Due to the prevention of the PYD administration at the Semalka crossing, those invited to participate in the opening of the Barzani National Museum from crossing into the Kurdistan Region, the Pish Khabour border crossing with Syrian Kurdistan was closed until further notice.

Today, the opening ceremony of the Barzani National Museum took place in the presence of President Masoud Barzani, the President of the Region, Nechirvan Barzani, the government, Masrour Barzani, and many Kurdish, Iraqi, and foreign personalities, and Peshmerga veterans, in the Barzan region of the Kurdistan Region.
