ARK News… Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that his country will discuss the safe return of Syrian refugees to their country, during the four-way meeting to be held in the Russian capital, Moscow, between the foreign ministers of Turkey, Russia, Iran, and the Syrian regime.

This came in statements he made, during his participation in a television interview on the "Turkish CNN" channel.

Cavusoglu added that the meeting, which will be held on the tenth of May, will focus on the Syrian file and will also deal with forming the necessary ground for the safe return of Syrian refugees to their country.

He stressed the need for Syrian refugees to return to their country in a "safe and humane manner, in batches, and according to a specific plan."

He pointed to the return of 550,000 Syrian refugees from Turkey to the areas that his country's forces cleared of terrorism in northern Syria.

He also stressed the importance of "cooperating" with the United Nations and the European Union, on the side of the Syrian regime, in order to secure the return of refugees.

The Turkish minister stressed the need for the return of Syrian refugees to take place in a "transparent" manner, in coordination with the United Nations.

He pointed out that the Syrian regime wants the Syrians to return to their country, indicating that this currently requires providing them with security and meeting their needs, and said that the regime "is currently unable to do so sufficiently."
