Masrour Barzani: The people of Kurdistan were subjected to genocide and the international community must recognize it

Masrour Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, indicated that the people of Kurdistan were subjected to many crimes of genocide, and the international community should recognize them and consider them crimes of genocide and that those affected to be compensated fairly and justly by the Iraqi government and all companies and entities that you helped commit these crimes.

Masrour Barzani said in a statement: "Today, we received the American lawyer, Mr. Gabriel Mayroni, who is an international lawyer specialized in representing the victims of the genocide committed against the people of Kurdistan."

He added, "Mr. Mayroni gave an overview of his activities and efforts in representing thousands of victims of genocide at the International Criminal Court, especially the victims of Anfal, the chemical attack on Kurdistan, and the genocide committed by ISIS terrorists against the Yezidis, indicating that they have been working on these issues for many years."

He continued in his statement, "We commended the efforts made by Attorney Mayroni and pointed out that the people of Kurdistan were subjected to many crimes of genocide, and the international community should recognize them and consider them crimes of genocide, and that those affected to be compensated fairly and justly by the Iraqi government and all companies and entities," assisted in the commission of these crimes.
