Hasko to ARK: Another chapter of the crackdown by Qandil cadres on the Kurds in Qamishlo

ARK News... In light of the continuing crises in the areas of Syrian Kurdistan that are under the control of the PYD administration, which controls Qandil, PKK officials continue to clamp down on the Kurds in Syrian Kurdistan.

Manal Hasko, a political analyst, said in exclusive statements on Monday, April 17, 2023, to ARK: Within the framework of following the policy of starving people and forcing them to emigrate, the PKK cadres follow another chapter of clamping down on the people, which is demanding that they pay the price of gas cylinders in US dollars.

Hasko continued by saying: The owners of restaurants in the city of Qamishlo are obligated to pay the price of gas cylinders in US dollars, under the pretext that they buy gas from the Kurdistan Region in US dollars.

Hasko explained that the price of one cylinder set by the PKK cadres is 10 US dollars, bearing in mind that trade and smuggling outlets within the areas of the Syrian regime are open and continuous, especially since they control the oil and gas revenues in the region.

He continued, "There is an acute shortage of gas in Qamishlo, Hasakah, and other areas because the party's cadres export gas to regime-controlled areas and sell it to the regime at exorbitant prices."

At the end of his speech, political analyst Manal Hasko said that the aim of following this policy is to force the remaining Kurds in the region, empty them, and change the demographics in the implementation of the Syrian regime's agendas.
