ARK News... The Kurdish National Council in Syria (ENKS), on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, commemorated the 44th anniversary of the departure of the historical Kurdish leader, Mustafa Barzani, in the city of Qamishlo, in Syrian Kurdistan.

The council organized the ceremony for the occasion in the eastern Maysaloun neighborhood of the city of Qamishlo, in the presence of the council's presidency, leaders of Kurdish parties, political and cultural events, and a large crowd of Kurdish masses.

During the ceremony, pictures of the immortal Barzani and the flags of Kurdistan were raised, and speeches were delivered on the occasion that dealt with his historical role in the life of the Kurdish nation and the Kurdish liberation movement, and revolutionary songs were broadcast.

The speech of the General Secretariat of the Kurdish National Council was delivered by Abdul Bari Khalaf, the speech of the Presidency of the Kurdish National Council was delivered by Faisal Youssef, and the speech of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria was delivered by Nash’at Zaza.

The local councils, Kobani, Girke Lage, and other regions and towns in Syrian Kurdistan, also commemorated the departure of the historic Kurdish leader.
