ARK News... Abdul Rahman Apo, a member of the Central Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria, on Saturday, February 25, 2023, said that "The Barzani Charity Foundation has restored hope to the Kurdish people in Afrin and revived the Kurdish cause there, and the people breathed a sigh of relief by seeing pictures of the immortal Barzani, stressing that the Foundation continues to distribute humanitarian aid and relief to the afflicted.

During his participation in the ARK newsletter, Apo said, "The people of Afrin welcomed the Foundation with slogans, the Kurdistan flag, songs, and roses, and expressed their joy and gratitude to President Masoud Barzani and the Kurdistan Region's leadership and people."

He added, "The Barzani Charity Foundation continues to distribute aid and relief to the affected and afflicted, and opened its offices in Afrin and Jenderes in order to provide full support to the afflicted."

He thanked President Masoud Barzani and the Kurdistan Region leadership and people for their relief to the affected people in Syrian Kurdistan and Turkish Kurdistan, considering that "President Masoud Barzani is a spiritual father and a shepherd for the Kurdish people in other parts of Kurdistan."

He emphasized that "the Kurdish National Council decided to open its offices in Afrin, Jenderes, and all the towns in Rajo and Bulbul, in order to work on activating the role of local committees and councils."

Abdul Rahman Apo considered that "there are parties that resent the entry of the Barzani Charity Foundation into Afrin, such as the Syrian regime, the PYD administration, and other institutions such as the Syrian Observatory and others," noting that "the Barzani Foundation's relief for Afrin was an outlet for the Kurds to express their pain and suffering over the past years, so the aforementioned parties are working mentioning by various means impedes the work of the institution and distorts the reputation of the institution, but the people have embraced the institution and are working with it in order to alleviate the pain of the affected and the afflicted.”

After the violent earthquake that struck the region on February 6, 2023, the Barzani Charity Foundation was the first of the humanitarian charities to provide relief to the cities of Jenderes and Afrin, which suffered the largest share of destruction, in addition to the cities of Kurdistan, Turkey, and it continues to provide support and aid in the stricken areas.
