The regime warns the people of Daraa not to provide aid to the earthquake victims in northern Syria
ARK News… Local sources said that the governor of Daraa, "Loay Kharita" and the secretary of the Baath Party branch, "Hussein Al-Rifai", met with a number of notables of the villages and towns of the province the day before yesterday, Wednesday, to compel the people to collect donations for the regions of Lattakia, Tartous, Jableh, and the rest of the areas under the control of the Assad regime.
The Free Hauran Gathering said that the party's branch secretary and heads of the security services in the province warned the people against collecting donations for areas out of its control.
The gathering added that this came after the people of Daraa governorate launched a donation campaign for the areas affected by the earthquake that struck Syria and Turkey, and these donations are scheduled to reach the affected people in Idlib governorate and the countryside of Aleppo.
He pointed out that the volume of donations exceeded 150 million Syrian pounds in less than 24 hours since the start of the campaign, in which the people of Daraa participated at home and abroad through two units, one from the eastern countryside of Daraa and the second from the west of the governorate.
He pointed out that since the earthquake hit areas in Syria, many planes from several Arab countries arrived at Damascus and Aleppo airports loaded with aid, equipment, and rescue teams. These aids are active within the areas controlled by the regime, as the latter prevents aid from reaching opposition-controlled areas in northern Syria.
