ARK News... the Kurdistan Democratic Party – Syria. on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, held a press conference in support of the victims of the devastating earthquake and in solidarity with the people in Afrin and Jenderes, in Syrian Kurdistan, at the party's office in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region.
The conference was moderated by Nori Brimo, a member of the party's central committee, Khalid Ali, the party's media official in the Kurdistan Region, and Omar Kochari, a member of the central committee. It was attended by dozens of journalists and media professionals from Kurdish and Arabic channels.

Primo continued at the conference that thousands of families are affected in Afrin and Jenderes and are in dire need of support, and the catastrophe that befell Afrin is greater than the energies of a party and certain countries.
At the end of the conference, he called for a meeting the call of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria regarding the need to provide material and moral support to the families of the victims affected by the devastating earthquake that struck the region.

The leadership added: "At a time when the international community has rushed to help Turkey and Syria to some extent, we find it our duty to provide all possible assistance to our people in the Afrin Jenderes region and elsewhere."
The leadership continued, "Therefore, we appeal to the masses of our people and the members and supporters of our party in the Kurdistan Region, to take the initiative to provide assistance to our people in northern Syria, especially in Afrin and Jenderes, which were subjected to this disaster, and the region has turned into a disaster area, and the situation has become catastrophic and tragic in the absence of sufficient capabilities to provide assistance and support the stranded."
