Germany calls for the opening of all crossings between Turkey and Syria to transport aid to Syria

ARK News... Germany called for the immediate opening of all border crossings between Turkey and Syria, in order to quickly transfer aid into Syria.

German Foreign Ministry spokesman Dennis Komitat told Syria TV that his country is deeply shocked by the devastating earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria, and calls on all parties in Syria to open the crossings immediately, in order to ensure the flow of aid.

He added that Germany is coordinating with all partners to distribute humanitarian aid to the Syrians in northwestern Syria, noting that it has provided 30 million euros to the Syrian Red Crescent.

On Tuesday, German Foreign Minister Annalina Bierbock called for the opening of all crossings between Turkey and Syria in order to ensure the flow of aid, following the devastating earthquake.

She added that there is currently only one open border crossing, and this crossing was damaged due to the earthquake, so it is important to open the border crossings.

Bierbock indicated that the supply of life necessities to the population in northwestern Syria is already difficult, and for this reason, all international parties, including Russia, must use their influence with the Syrian regime so that humanitarian aid can reach the victims there.
