Two years after the martyrdom of the Peshmerga, Dr. Suleiman Jirukaya
ARK News: Today is the second anniversary of the martyrdom of Dr. Peshmerga Suleiman Jirukaya, who was martyred during his duty to dismantle and neutralize mines and explosive remnants of the ISIS, the terrorist organization in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
Dr. Suleiman was seriously wounded by a landmine explosion of the remnants of ISIS, the terrorist organization in the village of Tishkharab in the district of Baasheqa, on Wednesday 26/10/2016, and he was taken by helicopter to Erbil and from there to Germany for treatment.
The death of Dr. Suleiman Jirukaya, an explosives decommissioning expert in the Peshmerga forces announced on 30/10/2016 in one of the hospitals in Germany.
Dr. Suleiman comes from a Kurdish family from Kurdistan of Turkey and lived for many years in Germany, and when ISIS attacked the Kurdistan Region 2014, he volunteered to work within the Peshmerga forces and was able to dismantle thousands of containers planted by the Da’esh organization in the Kurdistan Region.
