Big jumps for the dollar in Syria

ARK News… The exchange rate of the Syrian pound recorded a significant decline against the dollar, the euro, and the Turkish currency throughout the country, during Sunday's trading.

Until the closing of trading in the evening, the “Damascus dollar” rose 100 pounds, to become between 6,650 pounds for purchase and 6,700 pounds for sale.

The dollar in Aleppo, Daraa, and As-Suwaidaa recorded the same prices as its counterpart in Damascus. While the dollar in Homs, Hama, Lattakia, and Tartous recorded prices close to the "Damascus dollar", within a margin of difference not exceeding 50 pounds.

While the dollar rose, 110 pounds, in Manbij, Raqqa, and Deir Ez-Zour, to reach between 6,710 pounds for purchase and 6,760 pounds for sale.

In Idlib, the dollar rose 135 pounds, to become between 6,735 pounds for purchase and 6,785 pounds for sale.

In Al-Hasakah and Qamishli, the dollar jumped 150 pounds, to become between 6,750 pounds for purchase and 6,800 pounds for sale.

Returning to Damascus, the euro rose 110 pounds, to become between 7,225 pounds for purchase and 7,275 pounds for sale.

The Turkish rose in Damascus, 5 Syrian pounds, to become between 347 Syrian pounds for purchase and 357 Syrian pounds for sale.

While the Turkish one in Idlib increased by 7 Syrian pounds, to become between 352 Syrian pounds for purchase and 362 Syrian pounds for sale.

The exchange rate of the Turkish dollar against the dollar in Idlib ranged between 18.67 Turkish liras for purchase and 18.77 Turkish liras for sale.

This, and the Central Bank of Syria, defines the “remittance dollar” at 4,500 Syrian pounds.
