Haki for ARK: Twenty-two thousand detainees, seventy percent of them are minors, and 109 are on death row

ARK News... The Kurdish activist, Dr. Majid Haki, who hails from Iranian Kurdistan, on Sunday, January 15, 2023, that the Kurdish people in Iran have broken the barrier of fear and the Iranian regime is practicing repression to limit demonstrations.

He added that since the beginning of the revolution, the Iranian regime has used the machine of repression against the uprising against its face, and the regime fears the Kurdish people because they are more organized and coherent than other peoples.

Concerning the official statistics, he said that the real numbers are much larger than what is issued by human rights reports and organizations. There are thousands of detainees and many corpses that are hidden and whose fate is unknown. The detainees range from twenty to twenty-two thousand, of whom 109 are sentenced to death, and seventy percent of the detainees are minors.

At the end of his speech, he said that the execution of a person of British nationality is a clear indication that the regime is nearing its end, and that the international community and the United Nations must show more actual solidarity with the Kurdish and Iranian people.
