The US Senate approves an amendment to seize frozen Russian assets
ARK News… The US Senate on Thursday approved a legal amendment allowing for the seizure of frozen Russian assets and their extradition to Ukraine.
US media reported that the Senate unanimously approved an amendment to the Federal Budget Act of 2023, which will allow Russian assets frozen under sanctions to be used to finance military and financial aid to Ukraine.
The Senate is expected to consider the final version of the draft budget law later on Thursday.
It should be noted that the United States imposed sanctions on many Russian officials and Russian authorities in connection with the military operation in Ukraine, which began on February 24.
