ARK News… A human rights organization: The death toll from the protests in Iran has risen to 469. Athletes and international organizations are protesting against the possible execution of a former soccer player by the Iranian regime

In conjunction with the demonstrations that have been going on for months in Iran, a number of Iranians and activists organized a mass demonstration in Washington, the capital, and headed toward the White House.

These activists organized a massive rally in front of the White House and chanted to the US President: "Biden...Biden...wake up...you don't agree with the mullahs' regime."

The Iranian Human Rights Organization announced that the death toll from the protests at the hands of the security forces has risen to 469 since the start of the demonstrations in mid-September.

The organization said that the death toll includes 63 children and 32 women in the protests taking place in the country since the death of the young woman, Mahsa Amini, as a result of torture at the hands of the "morality police."

It added that at least 39 protesters are currently facing execution while warning of the possibility of executions in the country on a "large scale".

Simultaneously, a number of athletes and international sports associations protested against the possible execution of Amir Nasr Azadani, the former Iranian player in the Tractor football team.

The International Association of Professional Footballers published a tweet expressing its concern and regret over the possibility of this player being executed, and demanded that the punishment be lifted for him.

While Azadani's arrest received wide resonances in sports circles around the world, Iran's chief judge, Assadullah Ja’fari, denied issuing the death sentence to Nasr Azadani but said at the same time that he was accused of "prostitution", a charge that could lead to execution.

The Department of Justice in Isfahan announced that this player is the fifth suspect among 9 defendants in the case of the killing of three members of the regime during the suppression of protests in this city on November 16th.
