The Jordanian army thwarts a drug smuggling operation coming from the areas of the Syrian regime

ARK News... The Jordanian army announced, in a statement on Saturday, November 26, 2022, that it had thwarted an attempt to smuggle narcotics and weapons ammunition, coming from the areas of the Syrian regime.

He explained that after intensifying searches and inspections of the area, 564 palms of hashish, 20,000 Captagon tablets, and a Kalashnikov weapon were found, in addition to a quantity of ammunition, and the seized items were transferred to the competent authorities.

Since the Syrian regime took control of the Daraa Governorate in July 2018, the Kingdom of Jordan has suffered from repeated attempts to smuggle drugs and weapons across the northern border.
