Mazloum Abdi asks Biden for a possible Turkish ground attack

ARK News... Mazloum Abdi, Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, called on US President Joe Biden to stop the possible Turkish ground attack.

In statements to the American newspaper Politico, Abdi said that the United States did not do enough to prevent Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan from carrying out his threats to launch a cross-border operation.

He added, "We believe that protecting the cities that house the Kurds and the families of the 12,000 martyrs who died alongside the American soldiers against ISIS in Syria is the responsibility of the administration and the president himself, and it is a political and humanitarian responsibility." He called on Washington to increase pressure on Ankara.

Abdi considered that the statements so far are not enough to stop the Turkish plans to launch new operations against them, and he expressed his fear that the air strikes are a prelude to a ground operation.
