Russian media sources: Russian-American talks in Ankara, attended by the head of foreign intelligence, on the Russian side

Nov 15 2022

ARK News… The Russian newspaper "Kommersant" revealed the start of talks between the Russian and American delegations in Ankara.

Director of Russian Foreign Intelligence Sergei Naryshkin has arrived in the Turkish capital, and this meeting has not been publicly announced before.

Neither Moscow nor Washington commented on the information about these talks, as Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said he could neither confirm nor deny the information in this regard, and the newspaper indicated that its sources declined to provide details about the talks.

At the same time, the newspaper pointed out that information was available last week about discussing a possible meeting of the Advisory Committee on the Treaty on Strategic Offensive Weapons "START".

International START inspections were suspended in 2020, and the last time the Russia-US advisory committee met was in the Fall of 2021.
