No comment from the Kremlin on holding talks with Washington to prevent an escalation of the war

ARK News… The Kremlin on Monday declined to comment on a Wall Street Journal report that Washington had held unannounced talks with top Russian officials about avoiding further escalation in the Ukraine war.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that while Russia remains open to talks, it is unable to negotiate with Kyiv because of its refusal to hold talks with his country.
The Wall Street Journal on Sunday reported that US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan had unannounced talks with senior Russian officials. Hoping to reduce the risk of the war spilling over or escalating into a nuclear conflict.
