ARK News… On the ninth of October, the third anniversary of the Turkish forces’ invasion of the Kurdish areas of Serê kaniyê in the east to Girê Spi in the west and in the south at different depths “on the pretext of protecting its national security from the presence of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party and building a security zone”.

Within days, it took control of the entire area, accompanied by armed groups loyal to it, stationed there, and the military operations stopped after the Turkish government reached with both America and Russia two separate agreements,

The approval of the (SDF) on both of them, stated in their terms the security and safety of civilians, and the protection of their property, but it remained without commitment to them.

As a result of the military operations, tens of thousands of residents of the area, from all components, were forced to migrate to neighboring cities and villages, to live over the past years in difficult conditions in their places of residence.

In addition to the emigration of many of them to various countries, and in addition, some armed groups stationed there have committed crimes and violations against civilians, including looting properties and homes of the population and settling their families and arrivals from other areas.

Many innocent Kurdish citizens who remain in their homes are kidnapped and tortured to force them to pay the ransom or die. Despite widespread condemnations from various humanitarian, international, and Kurdish organizations, these crimes and violations did not stop.

Those who were described in the report of the International Commission of Inquiry, and what they committed in these areas, amounted to war crimes, were not deterred.

The Kurdish National Council, on its third anniversary, renews its condemnation of the acts, violations, and crimes committed against the people of Serê Kaniye and Giri Spi, as they practice against their brothers in Afrin.

The Kurdish Council calls on the international community, the United Nations, and the countries concerned with the Syrian issue, led by America, Russia, and Turkey, to put an end to the suffering of the residents of these areas.

And work seriously to expel these armed groups and factions and keep them away from cities and towns in order to facilitate the return of the displaced to their homes safely and to hand over their administration to their original sons in order to reach a final solution to the Syrian issue, and to bring to justice all those who committed crimes against the people and their property.
