Liz Truss: Kurdistan and Britain share common values and are committed to protecting the security and stability of the Kurdistan Region

Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister Masrour Barzani said on Tuesday, October 3, 2022, that he had received a message from the British Prime Minister, which dealt with Barzani's visit to Britain earlier this year, adding that Kurdistan and Britain share common values and that they are committed to protecting Security and stability of the Kurdistan Region.

Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister Masrour Barzani said in a statement: "We received a letter from the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Mrs. Liz Truss, in which she mentioned our visit to Britain earlier this year, and she said, "It was a pleasure to receive your honor in London during the month of April of this year, and I hope that this visit will be fruitful.”

The Prime Minister added, "The British Prime Minister also spoke about the historical relationship between the Kurdistan Region and the United Kingdom, and in her message, I am pleased that the relationship between the two sides today is much stronger than ever."

Barzani indicated that the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom said, "We share common values and are committed to protecting the security and stability of the Kurdistan Region as part of a strong and united Iraq, and we will continue to work closely together to confront terrorism."

The Prime Minister's statement continued, "The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom expressed in her letter to us by saying, "I hope that we will work together to strengthen our relations."
