The Peace and Freedom Front condemns the Iranian attacks on the Kurdistan Region

ARK News… With the increase in the pace of peaceful popular protests against the Iranian regime for nearly two weeks, which included most cities, including the capital, Tehran, all segments of society in Iran participated in it, against the background of the arrest of the young Kurdish woman (Jina Amini) by the morality police, on the pretext that she was wearing the hijab contrary to the instructions of the Iranian authorities, and her death under torture three days after her arrest, the Iranian security’s use of excessive violence against peaceful demonstrators and protesters, which resulted in the death of more than two hundred people, the wounding of hundreds, and the arrest of thousands, the regime in Iran wanted to draw attention to what is going on inside and exporting its crisis abroad, and spreading chaos and instability through its arms spread in Iraq and many countries in the region, to which Iran poses one of the most important dangers. Kurdish-Iranian opposition, where the bombing of refugee camps inside the region, caused the martyrdom and injury of dozens of innocent civilians, including children and women.

We are on the front of the Peace and Freedom Front, as we condemn the Iranian regime’s practices against defenseless protesters, and its use of excessive violence against them. We declare our support for the legitimate demands of the Iranian people for freedom and democracy.

We condemn in the strongest terms these unjustified attacks against the territory of the Kurdistan region, and the violation of the sovereignty of Iraq and the region, and we call on the international community to stand firm in the face of the repeated Iranian attacks against Iraq, the Kurdistan region and the region in general, which flagrantly violate the principles of human rights by targeting civilians in refugee camps, and bombing school children and pregnant women, leaving dozens of martyrs and wounded.
