“European Union”: Calling up Russian partial mobilization reflects Putin’s desperation
ARK News… The European Union's external relations official, Josep Borrell, Wednesday, announced that the partial mobilization of Russian reservists shows that President Vladimir Putin intends to continue the "escalation" of the war on Ukraine, and constitutes a "new sign of despair."
"The announcement of a partial mobilization of reserves and the confirmation of referendums (in occupied areas of Ukraine) constitute a clear signal to the international community during the week of the United Nations General Assembly of his determination to continue his destructive war, which has negative repercussions on the entire world," said Peter Steno, a spokesman for Borrell.
Putin had announced earlier that he had signed a decree on partial mobilization, effective from today, and indicated that the goal was to "defend Russian lands."
