ARK News... The Counter-Terrorism Service in the Kurdistan Region announced this evening, Tuesday, the thwarting of a dangerous plot by the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) targeting the security of the region by launching a large number of bombings and terrorist operations.
In a statement, the Counter-Terrorism Service said: “Within the efforts of the Kurdistan Region Security Council to maintain security and stability for the citizens of the Kurdistan Region, on April 17, 2022, the security forces seized 1 ton of PETN explosives, in addition to 10 Concourse anti-tank missiles and 23 engines. for drones, 1,200 anti-gas masks, and 375 Kalashnikov magazines.
The statement added, "The investigation with the accused (Younis Ahmed Qassem Suleiman) revealed that he obtained all of these explosives and military equipment from a military commander in the People's Protection Units (YPG) in western Kurdistan called (Rodi Hussein) to deliver them to PKK militants for use within the Kurdistan Region."
