The Kremlin: Neither “promising” results, nor “progress” in negotiations with Ukraine

ARK News… The Kremlin, on Wednesday, announced that the negotiations that took place between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations in Istanbul, on Tuesday, did not lead to “very promising” results or any “progress”, according to the French press agency.

"At the moment, we cannot indicate any very promising results or progress of any kind," Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters. There is a lot of work to do.”

The Russian delegation to the Istanbul talks announced, on Tuesday, that Moscow would “dramatically” reduce its military activity in northern Ukraine, including the areas near Keiv, after “useful” talks with the Ukrainian delegation.

“Since talks on preparing an agreement on the status of a neutral and denuclearized Ukraine have moved to a practical stage ... a decision was made to radically reduce military activity in the Keiv and Chernihiv regions,” said Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin.

The head of the negotiating delegation, Vladimir Mendesky, confirmed that "useful discussions" were held during the talks, adding that the Ukrainian proposals would be conveyed to Russian President Vladimir Putin, and said that Putin could meet his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky.
