Statement from President Masoud Barzani to Iraqi and Kurdistan public opinion
ARK News... President Masoud Barzani, on Tuesday, issued a statement to the Iraqi and Kurdistan public opinion, after the Iraqi Federal Court's decision regarding the oil and gas law of the Kurdistan Region.
Below is the text of the statement:
In the name of God the Merciful
The decision of the Federal Supreme Court on the oil and gas of the Kurdistan Region is a purely political decision, contrary to the Iraqi federal constitution and the aim is to antagonize the Kurdistan Region and the federal system in Iraq.
We hope that the governments of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region will be able to overcome the obstacles and agree on the oil and gas file.
Nevertheless, we announce to everyone that the Kurdistan Region will defend with all its might its constitutional rights.
